To enjoy all the possibilities that MODs offer in Palworld, we must first correctly install the Palworld MOD Manager, which will allow us to easily manage all files. In this case, all MODs being created can be installed using the Unreal Engine Scripting System (RE-UE4SS). It’s a very user-unfriendly process, but you’ll only have to do it once.
How to install MODs in Palworld step by step
1.- Download and set up Palworld MOD Manager
- Download the .zip file from the official Github page.
- Unzip the file in a folder to be able to use and edit its files.
- Inside the folder of files you previously unzipped in step 1, locate “UE4SS-settings” and open it with a text editor, such as Notepad for example.
- Find the line “bUseUObjectArrayCache = true” (on line 24) and replace “true” with “false”. Once this is done, be sure to save the file to update it with the new changes.
Now you will be ready to proceed with the installation of the MOD Manager.
Install Palworld MOD Manager
- Open Steam, right-click on Palworld (within the Game Library)
- Select “Properties”
- In the pop-up window, go to “Installed Files”
- Click on “Browse…”.
- This will open the folder where the game files are located.
- Open the “Pal”
- Go to “Binaries” folder
- Open “Win64” folder
- Copy all the contents of the MOD Manager folder into the Win64 folder.
- Additionally, as not all MODs follow the same method (there are two different ones) you will have to go back, to the “Pal” >> “Content” >> “Paks” folder.
- Inside “Paks”, create a new folder called “Mods” (which will initially be empty).
Once this is done, the MOD Manager will be set up to install any MODs we want.
